A woman's mother says that she had an illegal abortion in the 1960s and does not regret it. In a club scene, a woman announces to the audience that she is pregnant and scheduled for an abortion the next day, which is Valentine's Day and her boyfriend in the audience looks shocked and walks out; he meets her at a taxi stand the next day and accompanies her to the clinic, where he says he wants to be a dad and a grandpa someday. We see a woman's face and shoulders, (face up to the camera) as she lies in a clinic chair and we hear a soft buzzing and the scene ends.
A woman in a restaurant chair bounces up and down fast several times (simulating intercourse) and asks an imaginary Santa Claus to help erase her memories (with sex); she turns to a man and says, "Wait until you see my gherkin," and he looks surprised. A man and a woman kiss several times. A woman tells a man that his penis is a pee-furter and that his eyes pee-missiles drilling into her as he looks at her.  Several scenes feature a twenty something woman doing a raunchy, self-deprecating stand-up comedy routine at a bar; she mentions "vagina" several times and says the organ makes women's underwear dirty, as if the panties are dragged through cream cheese; she says a man sat on her face for sex and she received farts in the face, making several fart sounds with her mouth; she says she sometimes masturbates; she says women in the 1960s had big bushes (pubic hair), calls her boyfriend "[anatomical term deleted] worthy" and "bangs her out" (he breaks up with her the next day); she says that she loves pregnant ladies, but is not ready to be a mother. A gay man says in different scenes that a man is "hot" and a woman is "hot." A woman in her bedroom wears a tank top that bares her arms and shoulders and in a drunken phone message to a man, she announces that she will enjoy having the kind of HPV (herpes) that nice women have. A pregnancy test stick is shown beside a timer on a phone and as the alarm sounds, we see the plus sign for "positive" and the scene ends.
A pregnant woman sits on a toilet with bare knees and bare lower thighs showing and says that she is urinating. A pregnant woman puts her hand to her lips, gags and bends over a toilet below the frame, presumably to vomit, but we hear and see no evidence of that as the camera cuts away.

VIOLENCE/GORE 2 - At a women's clinic we see a medical drawing of three female wombs and vaginas, with an egg attaching to the wall of one uterus and a woman asks for an abortion. CAVEATS

Be aware that while we do our best to avoid spoilers it is impossible to disguise all details and some may reveal crucial plot elements.

We've gone through several editorial changes since we started covering films in 1992 and older reviews are not as complete & accurate as recent ones; we plan to revisit and correct older reviews as resources and time permits.

Our ratings and reviews are based on the theatrically-released versions of films; on video there are often Unrated, Special, Director's Cut or Extended versions, (usually accurately labelled but sometimes mislabeled) released that contain additional content, which we did not review.
