A husband and his wife (Ben Stiller and Naomi Watts) find themselves at a crossroads when their friends begin having babies and they are unable to do so. They immerse themselves in their careers until a young couple (Adam Driver and Amanda Seyfried) ingratiates itself into their world, causing them to see things differently. SEX/NUDITY 4 - A husband and his wife kiss passionately, he lifts her up and puts her on a counter and sex is implied. A husband and his wife kiss and fall back onto a couch and sex is implied.
 A woman kisses a man who is not her husband (she thinks he is) and then kisses him again after she knows he is not her husband. A married woman kisses a man who is not her husband and he pulls away from her.
 Several women are seen wearing bikinis and bikini tops with shorts in a street beach party (cleavage and bare abdomens and legs are visible), and a few men are shown bare-chested and wearing shorts or swim trunks. A woman breast feeds her infant and the top of her bare chest is seen. A woman is shown wearing a tank top that reveals cleavage and bare shoulders in a couple of scenes. A woman wears a low-cut blouse and a bit of her lace bra is seen. A woman wears a low-cut top that reveals cleavage in a few scenes. A woman wears a low-cut dress that reveals cleavage and bare shoulders and back.
 A husband and his wife lie in bed together in a couple of scenes (no sex is implied). A husband grabs his wife's clothed breast while seated at a table with two other people.
 A woman talks about a friend not having had sex with her husband in nearly a year and that the pregnancy weirded them out. A man talks about having been promiscuous. A man talks about having gone to an after hours gay club.
 Several men and women dance hip-hop dances that involve thrusting and gyrating hips. Men and women dance close together in a gay club and we see one man wearing a Speedo-type bottom with no shirt on a stage (his bare chest and abdomen and legs are visible from a distance).

VIOLENCE/GORE 3 - We hear that a young man was involved in a massacre in a village in Afghanistan when he was in the army; we hear that two men in his unit killed themselves. A young man confesses to having slit his own wrists in an attempt to commit suicide and we see him with bandages on his wrists in the hospital (no blood is seen).
 Two couples walk on subway tracks through a dark tunnel. A man on a bicycle bumps another man walking on a sidewalk and the man walking yells at the other man (no visible injuries).
 A man shows a tattoo on his arm that is infected and it appears to be red and blistered (he insists that it is not a staph infection). A man pulls a muscle while biking and his doctor tells him that he also has arthritis in his knee.
 Two married couples argue about having children and aging and one couple storms away angrily. A husband and his wife argue bitterly on a street corner and the man storms away. Two men argue and one storms away. A man confronts another man about fraud and the authenticity of his work. A man talks about the incarceration statistics of African-American men. A wife packs her belongings and prepares to leave her husband.
 A man talks about a friend having been "shredded by a land mine" while serving in the army. A woman talks about having had two miscarriages. We hear that a character's mother died of ovarian cancer. A woman says, "I never forgave my mother for dying." There are a couple of conversations about a ceremony that requires people to drink a slushy drink made of a Peruvian root that will make the person, "Vomit up your demons." A man asks a woman what her bucket is for and she replies, "Puking." A husband talks about having to inject his wife in the buttocks during her pregnancy or pregnancy attempt. A husband and his wife talk about the children's story "Goldilocks" and the husband says, "She gets eaten, right?"
 An elderly man urinates in his bathroom with the door open and we hear the trickling (we do not see the stream or any nudity).
 Many people are shown vomiting into buckets or cooking pots and we hear them gagging, spitting and coughing; we also hear goo splatter and see goo leaving their mouths. A man vomits on the floor after lying his head on a friend's leg. A woman picks at the pores on a man's nose (we don't see any excretions).
 A man accidentally hits a tray of glasses that a server carries in a large room of people and the glasses crash to the floor.

LANGUAGE 8 - About 38 F-words and its derivatives, 1 sexual reference, 29 scatological terms, 7 anatomical terms, 2 derogatory terms for African-Americans (in song lyrics), name-calling (rude, selfish, corny, cornball, promiscuous, man fox, con-artist, demon, hot dad, evil, entitled little brats, old man talk), exclamations (jeez Louise), 3 religious profanities (GD), 7 religious exclamations (Oh My God, Oh God, God, Holy [scatological term deleted]).

SUBSTANCE USE - People drink a slushy hallucinogenic liquid that causes them to vomit after they hallucinate, and a man takes a pill out of a prescription drug vial (we do not see him take the pill). A husband pours two glasses of wine in his home and we see his wife take a drink from her glass, a woman drinks a glass of wine, two men drink from bottles of beer at a party, a man holds and drinks from a glass of whiskey during a meeting in his office, several people drink alcohol during a movie screening, two women drink glasses of Vodka at a party, a man drinks from a bottle of alcohol, a woman drinks from a bottle of alcohol, and many people are seen drinking at a party, people drink beer in a bar. A woman smokes a cigarette in an apartment.
